A NSW Government website
NSW Government Gazette

Contact information

The New South Wales Government Gazette website is managed by the Gazette team at the Parliamentary Counsel’s Office (PCO). We publish Gazettes compiled from notices lodged by NSW Government agencies and provide public access on this website to authorised Gazettes and information about those Gazettes. Information about PCO is available on the office’s corporate website.

Legal advice

Please note that PCO can’t help with legal advice about the interpretation or operation of any NSW Government Gazette notices. We explain below what we mean by legal advice and include links to other organisations that may be able to help—contacting them directly may save you time.

When to contact the Gazette team

For information that is strictly about processes for the Gazette, which includes—

  • registering an account on the Gazette website
  • lodging, replacing or cancelling a notice for gazettal
  • the requirements for notices lodged for gazettal

For assistance with using this website, including its functionality and features, and information about the publication schedule for Gazettes.

For technical problems with this website, for example, accessibility, broken links or corrupt files—

  • Please try refreshing your browser page (Ctrl + F5) to see if that fixes the problem. If you still need assistance, contact the Gazette team by one of the methods below.
  • So we can effectively troubleshoot, please detail the circumstances that led to the error or include relevant screenshots if emailing.

When to contact another organisation

We can’t help you with the following enquiries but have provided hyperlinks to other websites that have helpful information.

  • An explanation of the effect of a Gazette notice.
  • Legal advice or research, which includes—
    • why a Gazette notice has been published
    • what Gazette notice applies in particular circumstances
    • what provisions in Gazette notices mean
    • how provisions in Gazette notices are applied
    • whether provisions in a Gazette notice have been breached
  • An investigation of possible breaches of the law.

For these enquiries, Law Access NSW provides plain language legal information, including factsheets and guides to help you with legal issues.

LawAccess NSW also operates a free government telephone service that provides legal information, referrals and, in some cases, advice for people who have a legal problem in NSW—telephone 1300 888 529.

For legal advice on the interpretation or application of legislation a community legal service or Legal Aid NSW may be able to assist. Alternatively, you may need to consult a qualified private lawyer—the Law Society of NSW can assist with this.
